For its fourth year, Alcoa Foundation is partnering with NatureBridge a trusted nonprofit organization that provides hands-on environmental field science education for teens in national parks to send 55 16-18 year olds from Alcoa communities around the globe to experience Yosemite National Park in California or Shenandoah National park in Virginia for two weeks this summer.

The Clarkson School, a division of Clarkson University, will once again offer the Young Scholars Program during the summer of 2017. The week-long program will be held on Clarkson University's campus starting Sunday, July 23 through Saturday, July 29, 2017. This program is for motivated and talented high school sophomores, juniors, seniors and first year college students.

Poverty Simulation

The second Poverty Simulation was held at Massena CSD. On Friday Jan 27th the staff at the high school, along with a few staff from BOCES and the Jr. High, tested their survival skills in order to better understand what the typical low-income family does from month to month in order to feed, clothe and house their families.
